Ordinary Members consisting of
(a) Those persons who have a degree in Home Science or Home Economics from a recognized Indian University or its equivalent in other countries.
OR
(b) Those persons who have a degree in any area of Home Science Viz. Home Management, Foods and Nutrition, Clothing and Textiles, Extension Education, Child Development and Family Relations and those who have taken Home Science as one of the optional subjects at the degree level.
OR
(c) Those persons who hold diplomas or certificates from Home Science Colleges or Institutions in India prior to 1952.
Associated Members consisting of (a) Those persons who have a diploma in Home Science or Home Economics granted by a college or a school, Technology upon completion of a two year course following matriculation or its equivalent.
(b) Those persons who have a degree in a field related to Home Science from recognized Indian University or its equivalent elsewhere provide that by post-graduate work and, or experience the persons have become, in interest and practice, Home Scientists.
Students Members consisting of members of UG , PG or Doctoral programme in discipline of Home Science.
Honorary Members consisting of those persons whose outstanding and exceptional service In the Interest of Home Science merit this recognition by the Association.
Life Members consisting of any ordinary members of the Association who pay the Life Membership free.
Patrons consisting of the persons of outstanding merit who are unanimously elected by the Executive Committee.
Institutional Members consisting of institutions recognized by the Home Science Association of India for their teaching of Home Science on payment of Rs. 1000/- per annum.
The Executive Committee shall rule on whether the above persons or organizations satisfactorily meet these conditions.
